The Brand & Marketing team within the Center of Expertise (CoE) Brand, Marketing & Communications NL is looking for a Marketing Manager with a strong affinity for Private Banking. In this role, you will help strengthen ING’s universal banking brand by developing and delivering marketing initiatives that are strategically grounded, creatively distinctive and relevant for high‑net‑worth and affluent clients.

Within the CoE, we drive sustainable business growth through creativity and strategic thinking. As a trusted partner to the business, we translate brand strategy into impactful marketing and communication initiatives that create long-term value. Working at ING means operating in a dynamic and complex environment, where we serve a broad customer base across multiple product tribes and business lines, with this role primarily dedicated to the Private Banking proposition.

The team

As Marketing Manager you’ll join the Marketing team and report into the Head of Brand & Marketing. You will also have a dotted line into the Private Banking Marketing team, ensuring close alignment with their strategy, priorities and client‑centric approach. You will work closely with fellow members of the Brand & Marketing team and collaborate intensively with the Private Banking team.

We drive awareness, excitement and engagement for the brand and keep it alive and fresh. To do so, we are close to our priority target audiences – Private Individuals, Business Banking, Private Banking, Wholesale Banking, and Talents – as they differ in terms of approach and projects, and deliver a full-funnel marketing approach. Only then we can accelerate business results across business lines and segments.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Executing central marketing strategies and support Private Banking for customer experience strategy and key initiatives (full funnel, digital savvy incl. digital, social and owned channels).
  • Support execution of these tailored marketing campaigns to engage and convert.
  • Implement local brand strategy & initiatives, including specific approaches to customer target groups. 
  • Execute comprehensive marketing plan and align with business objectives.
  • Execute the local Private Banking brand strategy & campaigns.
  • Support execution of creative concepts and implement brand engagement opportunities for key local priorities (i.e. Sustainability) and activations (i.e. sponsorships).
  • Coordinate market research to better understand the target audience (research led by Media Effectiveness & insights team).
  • Contribute to the evolution and future direction of the ING Brand platform.
  • Coordinate cross functional team collaboration: work closely with product, digital sales, media, internal comms, etc and other teams to align marketing efforts with brand and business goals.
  • Maintain oversight, project planning, management and budgeting of all related projects.
  • Coordinate relationship with external partners on operational activities.

How to succeed

  • Energetic brand management professional with experience in a comparable role.
  • Private Banking or wealth management experience is strongly preferred and will be considered a key advantage.
  • +3 year work experience in developing and executing brand campaigns.
  • Strong interest and affinity for brand building.
  • Capable of developing a structured approach to projects.
  • Enthusiastic team player, eager to foster an open culture of collaboration within the team.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English both verbally and in (copy) writing.
