Director Corporate Lending Construction & Real Estate at Wholesale Europe, Africa & Asia

In Corporate Lending we work on the fast developing energy-, digital-, build environment and food transitions in the world, and we enable our clients in Europe, Africa and Asia to transform, grow, invest and innovate to reach their (sustainability) goals.

You and your job

Your main goal is to translate customer financing needs in (alternative) corporate lending products for new to acquire and existing clients, and grow the portfolio in line with the recently extended mandate to the European market. Our work environment is dynamic, interesting, international and flexible. You are client-facing and have regular interactions with (external) clients but also work with many other stakeholders in the bank, a.o. risk management, client coverage and other Wholesale products. .

• Acquire, develop and maintain a portfolio of clients in  our sector- and transition team Construction & Real Estate, and being first point of contact for these clients in relation to their corporate lending solutions.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Perform a leading role in originating, structuring (green) loan facilities and managing deal processes. Together with the commercial credit analyst you take on a steering role for financial analysis, modelling, negotiating and having a final responsibility for credit reports.
• Support and actively seek opportunities to realize the ambition of Wholesale EA&A in the sustainable transitions of our clients and the extended mandate of the build environment and commercial real estate..
• Act as a coach for sale colleagues and commercial credit analysts to deliver the best possible service to our clients and to Grow A Better World Together.

You and your talent

• You have 7+ years of experience with structuring complex financial transactions, credit risk management, loan documentation and you know the product suite in Wholesale (amongst which: acquisition finance, value chain finance, project and export finance, risk management solutions, financial advisory and solutions etc. Preferably you have a broad network within the sectors we cover.
• You have experience with managing deal processes, modelling, pitching and negotiating transactions and documentation
• Customer focus: you are able to think from the perspective of your customers
• You are result-driven, you have a strong commercial drive and you are able to make the right risk/reward trade-off
• You cooperate well within a team and you are able to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
• You have a positive mind-set aimed at continuously improving the business and the people you work with
• You have good Dutch language skills for day-to-day communication and documentation.
